Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizada visited Ha Giang Province of Vietnam
The Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Vietnam, Shovgi Mehdizada, visited Ha Giang Province of Vietnam in order to participate in the New Year (“Tet” – New Year holiday in Vietnam) celebration together with schoolchildren at the elementary school built in Bac Me district of the Ha Giang Province with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and to present teaching equipments, computers and other holiday gifts to the schoolchildren and the school by the Foundation. Kanat Tumysh, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Vietnam and representatives of Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism also participated in the visit organized on January 25, 2024.
During the visit, New Year's gifts were presented to the schoolchildren on the occasion of the upcoming “Tet” holiday, and it was noted that in the near future, activities will be continued by the Embassy to support the development of education in the province through a number of programs and projects.
At the same time, well-known Azerbaijani chef, representative of the World Barbecue Federation, David Israfilov, gave a presentation about Azerbaijani cuisine to the schoolchildren and said that projects will be implemented in the future together with the Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism to develop the knowledge and skills of schoolchildren in the field of culinary.
Within the framework of the visit, a meeting was also held between Ambassador S.Mehdizada and Hoang Gia Long, Vice Chairman of the Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee, at the headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee. At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on issues of mutual interest and it was stated that there is a wide potential for cooperation in agriculture, culture, tourism and other fields, and the importance of continuing contacts in this regard was emphasized.
Ambassador S.Mehdizada informed the Vice Chairman about the projects to be implemented by the Embassy in Vietnam in 2024, and noted the importance of establishing direct cooperation relations between the regions of Azerbaijan and the province in the fields of tourism, trade, service and agriculture, especially culinary.
