On November 23, 2016 H. E. Mr. Anar Imanov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan accredited to the Kingdom of Cambodia with residence in Hanoi, met with H. E. Mr. Suy Sem, Minister of Mine and Energy of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

In the meeting Ambassador Anar Imanov stressed the significance of official visit of H. E. Mr. Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of Azerbaijan on April 21-23, 2014 in developing bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Cambodia that have broad cooperation opportunities. Ambassador emphasized the importance of realization the agreements that achieved during the mentioned visit in different spheres, as well as in the field of energy.

Minister Suy Sem said that in order to determine future directions of cooperation in the field of energy between the two countries, the Cambodian side is ready to receive companies of Azerbaijan specialized in the field of energy and stressed that it would be mutually beneficial. Minister invited Azerbaijani companies to operate oilfields in Cambodia.

In the meeting there was exchange of ideas on necessary measures to develop cooperation between Azerbaijan and Cambodia in the field of energy.
