Azerbaijan participated in the Hanoi World Cultures Festival
The Hanoi World Cultures Festival was held at the initiative of Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly, spouse of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam.
The festival, which aims to bring together traditional arts, cultural heritage and creative spirit of different nations, and to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between peoples, was attended by official delegations, diplomatic missions and cultural organizations from 48 countries. The event featured 45 national cultural pavilions, 34 international culinary stands, 23 art and music groups, as well as 12 publishing houses and film screenings from 22 countries. The festival has become one of the largest international cultural events in Hanoi.
In the 2 pavilions allocated to Azerbaijan, national souvenirs of our country, books published by the Embassy in Vietnamese, photos and other materials reflecting the historical visits of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to Vietnam in 1983 and Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh to Baku in 1959, as well as the meeting of General Secretary To Lam with President Ilham Aliyev during his state visit to Azerbaijan in May of this year, were exhibited.
The guests were presented with delicious samples of Azerbaijani cuisine (Karabakh ketasi, dolma, kebabs, dovga, shekerbura, shekerchörek, Azerbaijani tea, etc.). Also, within the framework of the festival, a presentation of dolma was held by our compatriot living in Vietnam in order to allow visitors to taste the national dishes of our country and get acquainted with the culinary culture. In addition, products of Azerbaijani companies were exhibited, and Azerbaijani tea was served to the guests.
After the opening ceremony, Vietnamese Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chinh, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly and other officials visited the Azerbaijani pavilion.
