Press release on the visit of Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to Vietnam
On July 17-18, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Elnur Mammadov, paid a visit to Hanoi to participate in the 3rd meeting of the Azerbaijan-Vietnam Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Trade, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, and delivered a report at the meeting.
As part of the visit, the Deputy Minister also met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, Ms. Le Thi Thu Hang. The meeting discussed issues arising from the political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam held in Baku on April 21 of this year.
The parties also reviewed the existing potential for expanding mutual partnership between Azerbaijan and Vietnam in the political, trade and economic, energy, agriculture, transport and humanitarian spheres.
It was emphasized that the state visit of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam, to Azerbaijan on May 7-8 elevated relations to a new level, to the level of Strategic Partnership, and the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary relations was highlighted.
The importance of the activities of the Azerbaijan-Vietnam Intergovernmental Commission was noted, the Protocol on the results of the 3rd meeting of the Commission was signed, and the adopted Action Plan covering 2025-2027 was highly appreciated.
The parties stressed their confidence that the 3rd "Vietnam Days" to be organized in Baku at the end of July will serve to expand cultural relations.
