Delegation of the Supreme People's Procuracy of Vietnam is visiting Azerbaijan

In accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan effectively cooperates with international partners and actively participates in a number of global and regional initiatives. In addition, comprehensive measures are being implemented jointly with partner organizations to strengthen international legal relations.

In this context, the Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan and the UN Global Operational Network of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Authorities (GlobE Network) jointly organized the Sixth Plenary Session and the Tenth Meeting of the Steering Committee of that international organization in Baku from May 19 to 23.

A delegation led by Deputy Prosecutor General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Quang Dung is on a visit to our country to participate in these international events.

As part of the visit, the delegation visited tomb of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the Alley of Honor, paid tribute to his memory and laid flowers in front of his tomb.

Then, the guests who came to the Alley of Martyrs respectfully commemorated the memory of the heroic sons of the Motherland who gave their lives in the struggle for the freedom and sovereignty of our country, laid flowers on their tombs, and visited the "Eternal Torch" monument.

On May 19, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev held a meeting with the Vietnamese delegation.

During the meeting, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev noted the strong political relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Vietnam, and emphasized the strategic importance of deepening the partnership between the two countries in various fields, especially between law enforcement agencies. It was noted that the long-standing friendly and mutual respect relations between Azerbaijan and Vietnam also create a favorable basis for active cooperation based on trust in the legal field.

The Prosecutor General provided detailed information on the measures implemented in our country in the areas of anti-corruption, transparency, and legal reforms, and drew attention to the fact that expanding the exchange of experience and information serves mutual interests.

Deputy Prosecutor General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Nguyen Quang Dung assessed the strengthening of legal cooperation with Azerbaijan as a natural stage of development of relations between the two friendly and strategic partner countries. The guest emphasized the importance of continuing the exchange of knowledge and advanced experience between law enforcement agencies in the future.

After the meeting, the delegation got acquainted with the corner dedicated to the life and activities of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the History Museum of the Prosecutor General's Office and showed interest to the exhibits reflecting the stages of development of the Azerbaijani Prosecutor's Office.
