The Azerbaijani pavilion was one of the most visited at the charity fair called “International Food Festival 2024” held in Hanoi

On December 8, 2024, the Azerbaijani Embassy in Hanoi participated in the charity fair called “International Food Festival 2024” held in Hanoi, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam.

The opening ceremony of the festival was attended by Ms. Ngo Phuong Ly, spouse of the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam To Lam, Mrs. Vu Thi Bich Ngoc, spouse of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, and Mrs. Nguyen Minh Hang, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as more than 40 diplomatic missions accredited in Viet Nam, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam and other official institutions, representatives of regions, as well as representatives of non-governmental organizations and the media.

During the festival, national souvenirs of our country, books published by the Embassy in Vietnamese, portraits and other promotional materials reflecting the historical visits of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to Viet Nam in 1983 and Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh to Baku in 1959, were exhibited, as well as delicious samples of Azerbaijani cuisine (Karabakh ketasi, dolma, kebabs, dovga, shekerbura, sheker chorek, etc.) were presented to the participants and guests.

At the event, kebabs and other meat dishes were presented to the guests by our compatriot David Israfilov, a well-known chef in the field of international cuisine and an influential expert of the World Barbecue Association, who was invited to Viet Nam by the Embassy. During the festival, the Azerbaijani pavilion was the most visited by local residents and foreign tourists. As during other events, the Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism partnered with the Embassy in this festival, and the students of the College assisted in the pavilion of our country.

After the official opening ceremony, Ms. Ngo Phuong Ly and other officials visited the Azerbaijani pavilion and explored the pavilion’s exhibits.

The Embassy was presented with a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the head of the organizing committee of the International Food Festival for its active participation in the festival.
