The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Vietnam participated in the “Hanoi Culinary Culture Festival 2024”

From November 29 to December 1, 2024, the “Hanoi Culinary Culture Festival 2024” took place in Hanoi, Vietnam, organized by the Hanoi People's Committee and the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations.

In addition to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Vietnam, the embassies of Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, India, Iran, Japan, Laos, Russia, Sri Lanka, Türkiye, South Korea, France and Italy participated in the festival.

The pavilion of the Embassy of Azerbaijan was decorated with a banner showcasing the ancient historical monuments, modern infrastructure and tourism potential of the country, books, brochures and other promotional materials published by the Embassy in Vietnamese, portraits reflecting the historical visits of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to Vietnam in 1983 and Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh to Baku in 1959, and souvenirs related to the country.

Kebabs and other meat dishes prepared by our compatriot, a member of the World Chefs Association, a well-known chef David Israfilov, who was specially invited to the event by the Embassy, ​​as well as dishes cooked by our compatriots (dolma, Karabakh ketasi, dovga, etc.), were offered to the guests. During the three-day festival, the Azerbaijani pavilion was the most visited by local residents and foreign tourists. As in previous events, the Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism partnered with the Embassy for this festival, with students from the college assisting at the Azerbaijani pavilion.

After the official opening ceremony, Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ta Quang Dong, visited the Azerbaijani pavilion. He explored the pavilion’s exhibits and promotional materials, sampled Azerbaijani cuisine, and took a commemorative photo in front of the pavilion.
