Victory Day was held at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Viet Nam

On November 8, 2024, an event dedicated to Victory Day was held at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Viet Nam.

The event was attended by employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other state institutions of Viet Nam, chairman and honorary chairman of the Viet Nam-Azerbaijan Friendship Association, as well as numerous members of the Association, ambassadors of Turkey, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and employees of embassies in Viet Nam, media representatives and Azerbaijani compatriots.

Ambassador Shovgi Mehdizadeh said that the powerful Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief, President Ilham Aliyev liberated the occupied territories of Azerbaijan as a result of the 44-day Patriotic War in 2020 and that the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan has been fully secured and the glorious flag of the country is flying in all territories of Azerbaijan. The Ambassador stressed that the memory of Azerbaijani martyrs who gave their lives for the Motherland is honored with respect.

Along with the Ambassador, guests also made speeches at the event. Ambassador of Kazakhstan Kanat Tomyush emphasized that the road to Victory was opened due to wise policy and fateful historical decisions of outstanding statesman Heydar Aliyev.

Ambassador of Türkiye Korhan Kemik congratulated the people of Azerbaijan on the complete liberation of their ancient land from occupation and noted that justice has been restored in the region through this victory.

Ambassador of Pakistan Kohdayar Marri expressed congratulations on Victory Day and emphasized the importance of solidarity between our countries at all times.

Chairman of the Viet Nam-Azerbaijan Friendship Association, Former Deputy Chief Auditor of the Viet Nam State Audit Office Dang The Vinh and Honorary Chairman Nghiem Vu Khai on behalf of the organization congratulated the Azerbaijani people on Victory Day, noted that the conflict ended with full restoration of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, said new opportunities have appeared and that the countries of the region will be able to live in peaceful conditions.

Then, under the sounds of Azerbaijani music, Azerbaijani dishes (dolma, pilaf and kebab) were presented to the participants of the event.
