Azerbaijan - Cambodia relations
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Cambodia were established on the 28th of December 1994.
The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, with its residence in Hanoi, is also accredited to the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Embassy of the Kingdom of Cambodia in Ankara is also accredited to the Republic of Azerbaijan
Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs
The first round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Kingdom of Cambodia was held on April 21-23, 2014, in Baku under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ramiz Hasanov, and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Hun Sen.
The second round of political consultations was held in Phnom Penh on March 13-15, 2019, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ramiz Hasanov, and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Uch Borit.
The third round of political consultations was held on June 1, 2022, in Baku under the chairmanship of Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Chem Vidyan, State Secretary (Deputy Minister) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The fourth round of political consultations was held on 21 July 2025 in Phnom Penh under the chairmanship of Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Khuon Phon Rattanak, Secretary of State (Deputy Minister) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
Mutual visits of the Heads of State and Government
- On April 21-23, 2014, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Hun Sen, paid a visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Inter-parliamentary relations
Shahin Seyidzade is the Head of the Working Group on Azerbaijan-Cambodia Interparliamentary Relations in the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Cambodia-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group operates in the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Suos Yara is the Head of the Group.
