Hanoi applauds Azerbaijani musicians

On September 29, 2017 in the capital of Vietnam, for the first time a concert of Azerbaijani classical music was held. In the large hall of the National Academy of Music, under the conducting of People's Artist of Azerbaijan Mr. Yalchin Adigezalov, pieces of U.Hajibeyli, F.Amirov, V.Adigezalov, G.Rzaev and Vietnamese composer Ngo Hoang Guan were performed. by the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra,

An official evening dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was opened by H.E. Mr. Anar Imanov, the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Vietnam. In his speech, Mr. Ambassador talked about the historical friendly relations between our countries, about the activities in the field of oil and gas industry and education, especially stressing the long-term cooperation in the field of culture. Ambassador of Azerbaijan stated that as it is known, one of the founders of Vietnamese cinematograph was the Hero of Labor of Vietnam, the owner of the Order of Friendship, filmmaker from Azerbaijan Ajdar Ibrahimov.

In response speech Mr. Le An Tuan, the rector of the National Academy of Music expressed particular satisfaction from  co-organizing the concert mentioning the importance of giving opportunity to the Vietnamese people to first time even be acquainted with the Azerbaijani music.

Then the floor was given to the music. The concert began with the sparkling performance by the orchestra of the "Azerbaijan Capriccio" of Fikret Amirov.

Further on the stage were soloists of national artists Azer Zeynalov and Mansum Ibrahimov, honored artists Elchin Hashimov and Elnur Ahmedov. Each program number was accompanied by a storm of applause from the audience. In the finale of the concert by the orchestra and "Trio Garabagh" Vasif Adigezalov's oratorio "Garabag Shikestesi" was performed. The crowded hall of the Academy of Music welcomed the envoys of the Azerbaijani musical culture.
